Job Responsibilities:
- Performs comprehensive vehicle inspections, including Virginia State Safety Inspections, ensuring full compliance with state regulations
- Diagnoses complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues on gasoline and diesel vehicles
- Utilizes advanced diagnostic tools, scan data, and testing procedures to accurately identify root causes
- Performs repairs across multiple systems including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, electrical, and emissions
- Completes detailed Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) with clear documentation, photos, and recommendations
- Collaborates with service advisors to communicate findings and support proper estimate building
- Conducts test drives to verify concerns and confirm repairs
- Maintains clean, organized work area and follows shop safety procedures
- Keeps up to date with industry advancements, tools, and diagnostic strategies
- Takes ownership of work quality and efficiency, ensuring jobs are completed correctly the first time
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Virginia State Safety Inspector License (not Required)
- Strong diagnostic experience (high-level troubleshooting required)
- Experience with both gasoline and diesel vehicles
- Minimum 3–5+ years of professional automotive repair experience
- Proficiency with scan tools, electrical testing, and modern vehicle systems
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus
